I did a thread search for Spirit Aviation and didn't find anything too recent, except for a guy asking about PFT last July.

Any current input anyone can give me on Spirit?

1) Do they make their pilots sign training contracts?

2) My friend was told they do "in-house" training. Is it really training, or pencil-whipping?

3) What kind of progression can a turboprop captain expect to make, realistically?


Thanks...a friend of mine is interested in working there, and he said nothing but good things about the company. But, he didn't have the answers to some of these questions.

yeah, it is ...

they do the contract for some not for all, in house training yes, pencil whipping, once in a while, but that doesn't happen often at all, most guys in the KA are usually cross qualed in either left or right seat of a jet, pending on time/experience ect.
