You've got to love Southwest. They had the balls to take this court, which undoubtedly cost more then settling. If every company out there would take these bullsh** cases to court, maybe people would stop seeing the cases as lottery tickets.

I couldn't agree more. Isn't this how it is done in most of the rest of the free world? Germany does this I understand. You better have a clear case and full confidence that you will win, otherwise it's gonna get pricey. It would tend to toughen people up a bit. Shake it off, get over it, lose some weight and stop being such an pansy..instead of "mo money...I's gone sue!"

You know who else stands up to that nonesense????? Disney.

They almost never get sued. Why you ask? Because every snake-in-the-grass attorney knows they will fight tooth and nail against frivolous "I spilled ice cream on my best pants" lawsuits.
If they are wrong, they settle quickly. If they are not, they will take you to the wall. So if you are a quick fix shyster working off 30% you know you are just spinning your wheels for free.
More companies need those balls.
