If anyone knows, please inform me of the % of income Southwest pilots pay into the union AND total number of pilots on seniority list...

Thanks

1% dues.

Around 6030 pilots.

6146 SWA pilots on the seniority list today, plus another few dozen scheduled for Newhire training through March. Then you have to add the 1700-ish Airtran guys and gals who are slotted in, but haven't started arriving yet. You'll have to ask an Airtran guy for exact numbers of those guys.

Your situation might be special, but I am sure that if it weren't for alpa, more pilots would have jobs.

He's a commuter guy, He's saying that he wouldn't have his commuter seat if it wasn't for ALPA giving up scope, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong outerlimits!

Don't think so....He is pretty obviously a SWA guy disguising himself to try and cast the whole DAL/RJ deal in as bad a lite as he can. Kind of like Tankerclown, the SWA guy who tries to make Air Force stereotypes look bad.
Is it you KBB? Your playing into his hand seems pretty predictable.

Before you say it, OL went off on me as a SWA hater just because I alluded to SWA's high taxi speeds. I am not, by any stretch of the imagination a SWA "hater" as OL tried to pin on me. Frankly I have the utmost respect for the success that SWA has had and they are a role model for the obvious benefits in taking care of your employee's, something the whole industry needs.
