Thanks. I was just doing the paper work for our P-91 aircraft and it asked for the owners name with the associated tail number. So I was wondering how NetJets was able to do this unless they list every airplane in fleet with all of the owners.

I believe the Tail, both crew members, and the owner have to be approved for overflight. Not 100% sure though

This is true. We were trying to get an overflight from Costa Rica, but the boss didn't get me all of the PAX info in time, customs generally want 2 weeks prior notice to grant that privilege, so we went through MSY. Quick and painless if your documents are in order. We didn't even have to offload the luggage.

I believe pilot772 is about right. What I understand is that the following must be listed on the overflight permit:

Aircraft
Both Pilots
At least one PASSENGER (not necessarily the owner, since they may not be onboard)

We at CS actually carry a printed copy of this document, with all the A/C tail #'s, pilot names and pax names. The document itself is 40+ pages long...

I actually had a customs inspector ask to so our copy of it not too long ago. When I at first didn't think we had it, he had that 'uh-oh, you get the steel bracelets' look in his eyes. Thankfully, I was able to located and produce said document....

I'm 99.9% sure this is exactly right.. We just used this this week to shortcut to HOU... it saves about 20 minutes off the flight from Mexico by not having to go around Brownesville...I know in Fl. it is used regularly, although me and the cpt.both remembered it being drilled into our heads that we were supposed to go around Brownesville, our pax was pretty knowledgable about it so he must have done it on a NJ plane before. We made a phone call and we were told it was ok.

I don't think we ever got an "official" ruling on it .. I think the Cpt. talked with Jepps. International.....but I don't think we ever got a hold of dispatch..

The crew and pax that are approved are listed in the international binder, I'm not sure how often it is updated though? So t could take awhile for a new hire to be put in the list.

Did an overflight from Cabo San Lucas to Oklahoma City. All went good, except we had a different tail number. The customs guy was PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSED.
