Can anyone offer info for freight operators in New Orleans, Baton Rouge or surrounding area.. Anyone know of any Lear 30 series operators in the area...

thank you

They don't have any Lears, but try Southern Seaplane, Belle Chase, they have some Bank check runs, C-206, C180, C185, and of course, a 135 floatplane operator

Grumman (the corporate outfit) is looking for pilots for their Citation Excell out of New Orleans and points in FL, but talking to one of their guys the other day... he said go online to fill out the app. but i couldnt find it, so maybe you'll have better luck..
I have a few friends at Suffering Sea Bass... i mean Sea Planes! Good group, but kinda sounds like you want something that has two engines and whines :D

LA jobs

This info maybe be out of date but... try Bank Air, they have a Lear based at MSY. Also Chipola Aviaiton used to have a Lear there as well. Mountain Air Cargo flies an F-27 out of Lafeyette... believe or not I turned down an interview for that one. I still kick myself almost 3 years later. There's also Louisiana Aircraft in BTR as well as several other operators there. PIA has a C210 that you start in then move up. AirNet also has a base at NEW. Entergy has a nice fleet based at MSY. Check out Hammond and Slidell as well. There's always Air Reldan at NEW... King Air, Navajo, Seneca... turdball owner. I worked for him once and learned what prison labour must feel like. ;)

Look around, talk to peope, shake hands, there are jobs to be had in southern LA other than Southern Seaplane. Good luck.
