Alright, been weighing options etc. Ex-Airline (furloughed from a has been that never will be again) Currently corporate with decent pay but cannot be considered long term (Company financials and size are not strong enough to support a jet through a downturn....and a downturn always comes eventually. Possibly already here for my current ride). Cannot afford to go back to regional F/O pay, family would starve before I could make captain.(Plus already have the t-shirt from the first time climbing the airline ladder to a major)

Have all my stuff in with the few remaining big boys that are hiring, but given the market, not holding my breath for anything before age 40. (35 now)

So my question is this, anybody know a good operator with decent schedules that operates out of a coastal city? ILM, CHS, SAV, TPA, Hou, etc.. AND still pays what could be considered career amounts?

Kind of a specialized market I am looking for, kind of a "daydream" type position. A company that is looking for a long term career guy and has the pay and QOL like they really mean it. Not interested in the cheeseballs out there that want higher time career pilots for nothing and janitorial skills!!!

Part 91 preferable since they tend to know the value of a good pilot more than the 135 operators that just want a warm body in the seat.

The coastal requirement comes from a lifetime of off shore fishing, and no desire to stop now.

I know that many of you are itching to fire off a flame to the tune of "Can't be choosy" etc. And I might would have the same reaction to a post like this, but I am genuinely looking for a company to call home. And I have been doing this long enough to be past the "Gotta be a whore just to keep flying" mentality. Basically, I am down to looking for either one of the big boys left, UPS, FedEx, SWA etc, or a good corporate operator that I can become an old fart with!!!!

So feel free to flame away if you like, wouldn't be the first time!:D But if you happen to know of a company like this, or are employed with one that is looking for a career pilot and not a warm body with carpentry skills, shoot me a PM.

Yeah I know......fat chance in the modern aviation world, but it's probably still a better chance than the powerball!!!

Contact Janice Barden at API. She's a great lead in this area. She once contacted me about some really great positions in the SE but I wasn't willing to move there.
