Does anyone know of a source for Air Force Reserve units that are hiring (besides baseops.net)?

Try the following:

http://www.afrc.af.mil/Units.htm

http://www.af.mil/sites/ang.shtml

Most units hire on a regular basis but may not advertise if they are filling their quotas. The exceptions are usually units that are co-located with active duty units, they get enough people leaving active duty who just "walk across the hall."

You have a better shot with units where you have ties to the area- already live there, grew up there, family there, etc. You're much more likely to stay in the unit if you live close by, so they're looking for reasons you'll stay there long term.

Good luck.
