i know im going to get a lot of crap for this but i was flyin with a captain and we were laughing bout this so here goes...

comin into stl and heard a few chautauqua pilots using chautauq instead of their full call sign. the whole "ua" at the end isnt hard to say! im not givin u guys crap, just thought it was funny! HAHA laugh.

they must have been to that Don LaPre course about making more time in the day by only saying the first syllable or two in a word. (SNL skit with David Spade)

The correct "radio" pronunciation is: "shahka"

And what's up with all the AE guys abbreviating their callsigns by leaving the "flight" part out.

Kind of like the flight express guy in Atlanta who calls himself "Five-and-a-quarter" instead of 525.
