The San Diego Mission Bay chapter of the International Women Pilots Organization, aka the "99s", is giving quarterly flight scholarships to deserving female flyers.
The latest award of $1,000 may be used to help fund Private Pilot training for any Future Woman Pilot member of the Ninety Nines, OR if already a certificated pilot applicant, may be used to fund training for the Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, or any Flight Instructor certificate. The deadline for applications is March 31st. Applicant must be a San Diego County resident, meet the requirements for the specified scholarship, and submit a complete scholarship application.
In addition, the El Cajon Valley Chapter is also offering a $1,000 flight scholarship memorializing Dottie Sanders. Applications for this award are due by April 1st 2004.
