Smart Phone - Talk Nerdy to Me

Okay, my cell phone is about dead, and my PDA runs on coal, my Verizon contract is up, and I use APDL for log booking.

Time for a Smart Phone, right?

I'm leaning toward the Samsung i730, because it is WiFI, so I wouldn't have to pay for data when I'm at a hotspot (hotels, airports, Starbucks, whatever.)

Who has good suggestions, avoisions, etc?

I have a Treo 650 (Sprint) now and like it a lot. I had a Pocket PC with wifi, and I found most hot spots aren't free. I would look at Verizon and the new Treo 700w that runs Windows Mobile. I like windows more than palm.

How much are you paying for the plans? Verizon wants $45 for unlimited data, if I go with no WiFi.
