anyone know SkyWest's hiring plans since the announcment of 30 more A/C (CRJ70) ? And do they currently have a pool of pilots?

Last round of "off the street" interviews takes place later this month. After that, all new-hires will be furloughed United guys per their contractual agreement with ALPA, and furloughed ExpressJet guys per another contractual agreement.

Sorry, but I don't see any "off the street" newhires for quite some time.

I may have missed something.. but I think the classes will be half street and half coex/united.. we have agreements with each to hire 5(?) pilots per aircraft we operate for them.. I think current staffing is 9-10 pilots per aircraft.. so 4-5 newhires for each A/C or (30x4 uax RJs+10x4 CO EMBs) 160 or so off the street..
Thats my W.A.G.
Good luck!

Ms. Camielle Ence is in charge of all pilot hiring.

Address below is from the company website:

SkyWest Airlines
444 South River Road

Ph. (435) 634-3000
Fax: (435) 634-3505

As has been posted earlier, it seems the door has recently shut on new interviewing except for one more group coming up. I would venture to say internal references, timing and luck will be the most important factors (in that order) when hiring does pick up again. I'm sure you'll hear about it here when that does happen.

Good luck.
