And we're flying E190's for Southwest... and opening a "real" LA base soon... and getting Q400s... and buying ExpressJet, or maybe it was Eagle... no, we're buying out Aloha!

I'm think I'm gonna be like a certain sim instructor/examiner I know and just start making rumors up to see how long they take to come back to me.

Give me a break. The longer I'm here the more I realize that people just need stuff to talk about on those long turns.

Glad to know I'm not the only one doing this. It amazes me some of the things you guys will believe from someone that might be "in the know".

That rumour about Ron Reber going to Virgin America as CEO that wound up in the SLC Trib? That was mine, brutha...

Yeah... the aforementioned sim guy informed me that he had "inside knowledge" that piggybacked on that one... because Ron was going to VA, it was due to their difficulty getting an ops cert. Not American controlled; so we were putting up the controlling stake to get them up and running. Classic. People apparently just aren't on board with the whole "saving for a rainy day". Obviously we're up to something sinister with all that cash on hand.

get it right darnit

We started this rumor in ground school and you guys managed to screw it up (as usual). It is crj-1000's not 7's or 9's.

True

Thought my sarcasm and wit would come through on my post but perhaps not. In the atmosphere of todays industry my comments could and would be construed in poor taste; however that was not my intention. Just thought it was ironic that rumors started in ground school made it here. I guess that is why I am a reader and not a poster.

Yeah, for April Fool's Day, someone put an E-190 into the system as a test aircraft. It only took 8 days for everyone to notice and start talking all their rumors. I see today that it has finally been taken out of the system. So the E-190 gag was actually pretty a good one.

It's scary enough to see the 200's in old livery and hear sywest call signs. Gotta be ghosts there from the fired pilots.

Something smells funny here though.....

1) J.A. in MKE---(Why?) Its certainly not to shake hands. This is a business trip.
2) MidEx announcing furloughs. 35 by July 1.
3) SkyW adding more flying in MKE. 167 daily MidEx flights compared to 154 SkyW!
4) and a hedge fund waiting to get their capital back in pocket.

I dont know whats going on but to get Jerry and Chip together in MKE, its more than just a PR tour. Those 2 never travel together..

Agreed, just wait till the day where "rumors" start floating around about someone taking "your" flying.

It has already happened. With all the airlines diversifying their regional feed, all regional saw "their" flying invaded by other regionals over the years. Nothing new and it keeps happening.
