Has anybody else noticed that ASA is no longer visible on the welcome page at skywest.com

Without reading too much into B.L.'s resignation, could something be up?

Nope.

It's big business. BL did his job and dragged out negotiations as long as he could (he also brought morale to an all time low as well.) Now JA is going to bring in a new guy to boost morale and be a cheerleader and everybody's hero. JA won't dump ASA, we've helped make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. We pull in too damn much money.

FWIW....

The last time something like this happened (see S Barnett, D McAdoo, and others) there was a large announcement a few days later.

Ron Reber maybe?

He's not going to be doing anything for Skywest, Inc. We were all told that he was retireing and will just do special projects for the company. Well that's not so. He and Jerry and the Board of Directors had a falling out and he won't doing anything for Skywest or ASA, ever! At Skywest when someone retires before their time, it's because they are getting shoved out the door, just LB is now from ASA.

Big announcement tomorrow.

The big announcement. Fire on C concourse and no electricity. Wait, that was today. Damn, I am late.
haha

I had some of the same thoughts. JA has a golden opportunity he engineered for himself.

Delta also delayed the destruction of our pass benefits until until 12/4. Look for the announcement that Delta is buying us back on 12/3. You heard it here first!!!

I don't know when the "clause" in the SkyWest buyout expires for Delta to buy ASA back. I don't see it happening for this reason. While ASA is arguably the most profitable airline in the industry the last 10-20 years, ASA still comes with its share of debt. Granted it makes money, but it would also hinder Delta's debt/income ratio. I believe Delta wants to purchase airplanes, lots of them. The debt ASA brings with it would reduce their purchasing power for future airframes. It's a great thought, that most ASA employees would welcome, I just don't see it happening. I've been wrong once before, however.....

Yeah, and Barry Sanders will return to Detroit Lions for their successful Superbowl run this year!

The date was move to 12/4 because, as usual, ASA has not worked out the fine details of charging you for your formerly free pass benefits.

The revenue they make off this, will help offset contract costs. It's all part of the Zero-Net Gain strategy.
