Rumor has it that SkyWest is getting some of the Delta aircraft that are up for grabs (the bid that was used to try to reduce pay at ASA and Comair).

Anyone know?

I wouldn't be surprised. I don't believe that DAL ever intended to give the phantom aircraft to only one carrier. We will probably all get a few. Even ASA and Comair.

If we at Comair and ASA had taken the bait, and agreed to concessions, they would probably still have given a few aircraft to each DCI carrier. That is why we didn't take the bait.

We were told recently from a VP that we were asked not to bid on any of the 70 seat flying. I haven't heard anything other than that.

Can someone please provide a little background information about this? (i.e. how many aircraft, what type, etc.) I haven't heard anything about this before. Thanks.

I think they are all 50 seat versions. I bet they will go to airlines that are flush with cash---like Skywest, Chautaqua, etc...(note---not Mesa)

Bye Bye--General Lee;)
