Is LAX still a reserve base? If so, how many crews are awarded it every month? Does it vary from month to month? How much flying do the LAX crews do? What is the minimum number of hours required by the company? Stil 1.5 hours call out? How long would it take to hold LAX reserve as an F/O and as a captain?

Thanks in advance for the info.

only about 20 are LAX based, all reserve. half Bro, half RJ. 2 hr. call out. not sure how much they fly, and it looks like some newhires have gotten it on the EMB and some pretty jr. EMB Captains are there, including a 2 year guy.

mostly true...the 2 hour callout is a figment of the training department's imagination...it's still 1.5 hours. I'm one of the Brasilia Captains...they've been flying me about 70 hour a month.....with all the deadheading and consolidation, i've been getting about 105 hours of pay a month. there's 6 RJ Ca's, 4 RJ FOs, 2 EMB Ca's, and 6 EMB FO's. the most junior FO on the RJ side's been here about a year...the brasilia FO goes junior. RJ captain is senior...and Brasilia CA just went to a guy who's been here about 1.5 years.....
