A couple of folks recently posted threads about SKW having a newhire class of 30 for the EMB on the 5th of Jan. and another with 20 in Feb. Anyone else hear of anything? Camielle has stated nothing of the kind in her recent emails to the pool. In fact, she seemed to indicate things might be slow on the EMB side for a while longer. Happy Holidays....

Its a NO-Brainer! Do you want to be at SkyWest? If so.....have your buddies walk in your resume. However, I don't see any hiring though in the next 3 months here.

I don't know how many UA furloughs are left in the system but my contact didn't think there would be many more left.

Probably at least 40 UAL furloughs still need to be put through training and there are 60 people in the new hire pool that are also waiting for a class date.

Why are you hiring all these united guys? You are only required to hire 5 for every 70 seat jet you acquire, and as of now, you don't have a single CRJ70 on the property.

Pretty sure the company wants the crews on the property and trained prior to the first arrival.

5 X 30 = 150 UAL furloughees that have to be interviewed and hired. While I'm not 100% sure that they have to hire 150 (supposedly they just have to offer them the position) Yes, this is frustrating when you've been swimming for almost a year but hang in there. I waited 9 months and couldn't think of another regional that I would want to be at......except Horizon (closer to home)
