How many people are in the skywest pool right now? And how many people are they trainging a month right now? maybe we can narrow down a date they may start hiring again?

TOTAL WAG:

There are probably 30-50 in the pool, and with 2 classes a month taking 8-10 each, or 16-20 per month...

But they may just fill with all the COEX remaining and then start hiring...or they may not...

...and there are about 50-60 left on the COEX list.

So maybe the real answer is: WHO KNOWS?

Sorry.

But I did hear straight from the people who know that the pool is "almost empty." That's encouraging, right?

Don't be looking for Skywest to be hiring off the street. This new mou says that we will be taking on united pilots. This is one big can of worms that nobody has a answer for yet.

Would you please provide a link to the UAL/SkyWest MOU. I read the UAL TA but have not found the UAL/SkyWest MOU on the internet.

Thanks in advance.

The mou is a legal document agreed upon by ual and skywest. That includes everything from the types of aircraft to be flown, to have much they will be paid. There are things in the doc. you do not want the competition to know, you will never find it in the public domain. In the ta you have seen the part about the ual pilots giving the rights to 70 pass rjs being at uax. These are the talks that apply to these aircraft, every uax carrier that will get 70 seaters has to go through these talks. One big can of worms.

You have not read it either?

Or do you have a super-secret copy?

In your first post it sounded like you knew for sure what was in the MOU between SkyWest and UAL.

Just read the SkyWestfourm SAPA page and I did not read word one about this issue.

Are you saying that SAPA knows that we will be taking on UAL furloughed pilots and they have not told the pilot membership?

Are you a SAPA member?

I have spoken to Chris A. about this very issue and he said he knew nothing about it.

No big deal (except for the poolies) if they are on the bottom of our list.

This is one of the big issues in Sgu these days. We all Know that sapa keeps us in the dark, just look at our pay issues. Next time you are in sgu on a overnight walk down to mecca, that is what I do. They are saying that the ual mec wants access to the 70 seaters, but they are putting up the good fight, B.H. is trying to live up to his word. I trust that they will not give up. Most pilots that I fly with, trust him to be on our side.

They are saying...

Who are "they"?

If SAPA is not telling us, then who are "they"?

Why are we posting on this BBS on not on Bob N's. SAPA site?
