thanks for the help I would think that with how young they purposely keep thier pilot group, should'nt they have enough cash laying around to pay you something for training .... just curious?

It changed a while ago. They pay you for 65 hrs / month at first year FO pay. Not much, but it's something. You get 2 uniform shirts and 2 pants plus Jepps. Double occupancy hotel. The Bro guys get the nicer of the two hotels...

Last I heard, they don't pay you at all. It could have changed due to their demand for pilots, though.

They pay in training, 60hrs till IOE then 75hr guarantee. Double occupancy hotel, Jepps, and uniform all paid for. Also positive space travel to/from home when needed.

Granted I think it should be 75hr guarantee and single occupancy, and while we are at it 30 dollars/hr wage for starters.

I think that SKW also pays per-diem while in training.

what do people mean when they say "positive space" travel in training? Should'nt it be? They are training you for a job at their company, are'nt they? it just seems like some people think that a company providing travel to train is a privelege? It should be a requirement! I don't get it

It is considered a privilege because some airlines do not, you are simply there until they have you trained. You are always more than welcome to jump home, positive space is nice because its a seat/ticket and that equals you worrying less about traveling home for the weekend.

"scumb of the industry"

Reminds me of the McDonalds in the Y at ORD. Credit card reader must have been MEL'ed so they put out a sign to let everyone know that they had to pay with cash. The sign read "no crebit cards"

Airtime is in good company.

Get with the times, man. That was newspeak for "credit or debit cards".
