I know somone who is furloughed of the FRJ with ACA. Has interviews lined up with SKW and BTA. He is currently instructing in Barons. Should he goto these interviews, maybe get hired by one or both and take a huge pay cut and get back on the jet or should he ride out instructing and wait for Independence to rally and take the staffing back?

I don't believe that XJT is making anyone resign their sen #'s at other airlines when/if they get hired.

That may be something to consider.

ExpressJet as said in the past that they will not hire furloughed pilots. Hopefully they have changed their position on this issue.

A friend of mine talked with the Sr. Dir. of Training not too long ago and allegedly he said that XJT is no longer requiring folks to resign their seniority numbers at other airlines.

i could be wrong, but it's worth checking into.

Never, ever WAIT for a recall, sspecially to an airline with a very unstable future like ACA where anyone who is currently furloughed will be lucky to ever get off reserve even he is recalled. With interviews at growth companies like XJT and SKW, your friend should count his blessings and put everything he has into those interviews. Don't allow any one company to have control over your career if you can help it.
