Tried this on a company site to no avail.

Can the 100 hour multi-engine hours required as a minimum be in a helicopter or is it restricted to fixed wing only?

Thanks for any serious response.

Cheers!

They have an industry conference every spring up at UND, awhile back a United capt. was telling us about his job and the application minimums and other general information. A guy raised his hand in the back and said, "I have 500 hours of helo time, does that count.?" The united capt. paused for a second then said, "Son, how many helicopters does United fly?"

This was in front of about 200 people, i felt bad for the guy, but it sure was funny.

and i have no idea what the answer to your question is.

Well, believe it or not, SkyWest does accept some helicopter time. Just how much is what I want to find out.

As for that United captain....what a di(k. Making fun of someone who has a legitimate question because he doesn't know the answer. The guy with the question should have come back and said, "Well, how many pri(k captains does United have?".

Cheers!

I believe that OO counts a portion of helo time for total time if the applicant has an ATP. I don't know exactly how it works.

Andy knows. Andy are you out there?

Andy is ex-Army and has helped the industry realize the Army training program is more than just flying helos. I believe the Army has one of the best crew resource programs in aviaiton.

See ya,

it says on the website they are not accepting resumes.....now, i'm sure this makes me a tool, but where do i send a resume to skywest, or does it need to be walked in?
