Issue dated March 24, 2008.

Three page article describes SkyWest's past success, corporate culture, and future opportunities.

"SkyWest Inc., rich with $660 million in cash and securities and encouraged by strong Wall Street backing, is looking for opportunities to expand, either by internal growth or by acquisition."

"Jerry Atkin, Chairman and CEO of the holding company that operates subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) and SkyWest Airlines, is signaling that it is ready to make a move. The parent company reported a $159-million net profit for 2007, and 10% improvement over the previous year. At the same time, Atkin and others are saying that ASA has overcome operational problems that had been plaguing it--another reason for taking advantage of expansion opportunities." p.46

Not the best article written by AWST but very interesting and the first time since I've been reading that a regional has made the cover.

Yeah, SkyWest finally took a "semi" fire hose to the GO. Hopefully the cleaning isn't done yet. There are 3 more upper level execs and a few other "old guard" managers from the stink of pre-December 1st. I must admit, Brad Holt is doing an incredible job of managing the place.

Yeah!
Wait till he is done with the front office, he will start on the pilots, thats what he does best!

What is it he's going to do? He cant just make changes to work rules like he could over at Skywest.

Not to mention, he is now at the helm of ASA, much different role than being upper management following orders.

He's been very responsive to anyone who emails him and seems to be able to back up what he says.

I know its been discussed before, but remind us what we should watch for?

I agree. Brad Holt has been something of a Messiah at ASA. He's cleaned house, and should do some more. Numbers, Morale, general consensus of the Company is way up. Brad Holt has done more for ASA in the last 3 months than Skippy or Ladousche did in their entire tenure. I don't know what kind of VP of Flight Ops he made for SkyWest, but he's an incredible President for ASA. I choose him over anybody else we've had in the past. He's the only guy so far who's yielded results--IN 3 MONTHS. Imagine what a year will look like?

Brad's made more positive changes at ASA in 3 months....3 months!!!!!!!!!! than any other leader at this company in my whole tenure, and probably in the whole history of ASA.

So much so that when I'm saying goodbye to passengers after a flight, I no longer where a paper bag over my head out of shame.

Yeah, and we miss seeing Uncle Rico roam the halls.

Nice, and I told Stif that BH was gonna clean house when he got there. Good to see that prediction came true.
