Its just being at the right place at the right time.

Some interview tips:

Safe to say read up on Turbine systems(basics-axial/centrifiul flow compressors), pressurizations systems, wx-which way high and low works, when you get rime ice, what happens with supercoold H2O droplets etc, know plates like the back of your hand, know the low enroute altitude charts really well. Know ATP standards on when you have to file departure AND destination alternates. You'll be expected to blurt this out during your sim ride. Know about basic aerodynamics, how lift works. Be positive and upbeat. They will get you on something dont be down on it. They want to see your reaction! Fuel systems, be able to draw a map of where fuel goes throughout the system very detailed! Theres a lot they could ask. Don't spend your time looking at one particular approach, because they over a hundred JEPP plates they can pull out on you! There are however only about 10 they will pull out on the sim, the ATC 810 is limited in how many it can do.
Good luck, it's a really great company to work for. and the people are great all around!
