Hi all,

I will be finishing ground school this early October. I am already assigned Fresno as my base. I live in San Francisco and I am planning to commute from SFO to Fresno. I have several questions regarding jump sitting from San Francisco, worst trips, best trips, or anything in general to watch-out for crash-pads etc. I appreciate any info anyone want to share

Thank you

I think they call it jump seating now.

Like Dave said... just drive. Find a crashpad and put a bid in for SFO. Good luck.

Also, don't worry about worst trips/best trips... you'll be on reserve. Just enjoy the ride.

Can someone tell me what the reserve schedules look like for the love of god? I have been asking and noone tells me. Is it pretty much 5 on 2 off or what? I am wondering about PSP and FAT.

For the most part, they are 5 and 2. I think you get at least a 4 and 3 each month though. They do not build any reserve lines with holidays off either.

I'm not sure how long you'll be on reserve. I've flown with a couple of FOs that started in June and are bidding 24 out of 50something. People are not staying in Fresno and aren't staying on the Brasilia.
