Anyone,

How long is the CL-65 initial training at SkyWest. Do they break it up or is it nonstop from indoc to IOE. Also is the sim training held in SLC or is it elsewhere.

Thanks,
Kirby

Let's use the September 4th CRJ newhire class as an example.

They began 8 days of basic indoc on 4 Sep. They began three weeks of systems training on 16 September. Some will begin 8 days of FTD training (in SLC) on 7 October (while others wait a week) and will begin 5 sim sessions (in SLC) around 15 October. So from day one of ground school to the last sim session, the training would cover 6 1/2 - 8 weeks depending on which FTD/Sim sessions were awarded.

The aircraft checkride would take place a couple of days after the sim check and IOE would begin within a week of that.

Hope that helps.
