I met two pilots this week while jumpseating on Continental and CoEx who told me they heard SkyWest was talking to Continental about buying CoEx. Anyone know anything?

I would highly doubt this, The upper management is always saying "we don't buy companies and their problems, we buy assets." Westair is a good example.

I just recently received a letter from CoEx ALPA stating that they asked Jim Ream, CEO of ExJet, about this and currently this is not in the works according to him. Who knows though, CEO's say whatever only for them to make more money.

The recalls at Express are not coming along. They've recalled a few (about a class-worth 30-ish?) Quite a while ago. Now rumors are circulating about possible CAL furloughs in the fall. That could mean more XJT furloughs.

Thanks - I wasn't aware of what was going on. Sorry to hear more bad news
