Hello everyone,

I am the typical guy that has been a CFI for about 2 years with 1400TT and 200Multi. I have recently send my online application to skywest and I am just waiting for their call. I also have the ATP written done ( that was a pain!!). Glass profficient............

I would appreciate any additional help, advice, support or recomendations you might have to help me get an interview and make it though it.

Any other good Airline?. decitions decitions.............

thank you all guys. this website is great in these hard times.

If you could send your stuff into PSA within the next week, you'd probably get a call from them. Good company over there.

I'd obviously recommend XJT, but hiring will probably trickle down over the next few weeks from what I've heard.

I know ASA is still trying to fill up some of their June classes as well.

Take your pick.

You have a very big chance of getting called pretty soon. They are looking to fill in the EMB class with 50 peeps and 30 in the CRJ. Don't get you hopes up though but good luck.

FWIW, just heard from a director of training type guy:

400 more newhires by the end of this year...

(yes, it is May)

Man, I wish that we could figure some kind of system that will allow the SLC ASA guys that wanna stay there to transfer to here. I think everyone would be happy if that could happen. 400 pilots by the end of the year?? Man, i hope so, we are running short right now as it is, let alone when the -700's are transfered.

So they are giving some folks the rj right out of training? Can you wait for a jet class if they hire you? I know some think that is stupid but my reason is that I can't move my family to California and I live close to Chicago.

You may be waiting for a long time. Speak with people that are already in the industry to gauge what a detriment that could be to your career. An easy solution would be to bid DEN and commute as there are probably 30 flights per day to ORD/MDW. Good luck either way...

"decitions" ie dick itchens?
Try a salve first then pour gas over the affected area and stab the runners with a knife.
If that doesn't work go shave it!

And stop posting this everywhere!!!

In what?! A Garmin 430?!

Glass proficient or not, SKYW is hurting for pilots pretty bad, so I wouldnt worry too much. Give them a couple of weeks. Good luck!
