The press release will be out on Monday.

found it.

guess we better get a bigger crew room in ORD, and replace that ridiculous excuse for a crew room in DEN.

Well now we know where awac's flying is going....congrats skywest first we lost denver now more of chicago soon you'll be in dulles to. Wait you can have dulles. I assume the big united press release will come out on monday. I see how far loyalty gets you in the airline world.
It's sad that one of the great regionals is losing thier flying. O well what can you do.

Your right, and as a Skywest pilot I'm sorry. I want us to grow but not at the expenses of other jobs. UAL however has a long history of treating you (Airwis) poorly. At one point they (UAL) had you guys down to only a few planes, then built you up, only to drive down. Again, sorry to all the Airwis that some of this new growth had to come at your price.

It's a bummer you are losing your flying, but I'm not sorry for taking it. I voted NO on the 70 for 50 rates and I'll vote NO on this crap pay agreement (if it comes to a vote). Show me the union card and I'll send it in. What more can I do. Sux your losing your flying, but if our sissy pilot group can't pull it together, nothing I can do about it.

Oh yeah, you can have Dulles and ORD for all I care, I am but a lowly 120 driver and I ain't leaving the west coast.

Thanks for your sympathy. If we were to take flying from you, i'd feel bad about it. Some of us have a conscience.

Same goes for me. My buddy flies for AWAC and I hate that we're getting more flying at their expense. I know it could be us in an INSTANT!

As a SKW pilot I want 0, none, nada growth at another carriers expense. I hope AWAC moves all lost equipment to UAir if that is the cost of this "growth". Good luck guys/ gals....................

Hey thanks maddog. Ours to lose. Thats right we are losing it because our pilots suck and we are they worst regional for united..... We are losing it becuase united once again has decided that in the grand plan of things they have nothing better to do than kill one of thier best regionals.....It makes all the sense in the world they have nothing better to spend thier time and money on right. This just ticks me off. We have always been there for united and this is the crap we get. replaced by republic what an express carrier for a whole year skywest thier fav. and go jets lets not even go there. We'll see what comes out monday. I can't see it being good for awac. How sad!

So what's the plan for AWAC? People are talking about USAIR? Good luck to you guys. Tough times.

Well we can fly 70 rj's for them which happens to be how many we have. I am not sure we want everything over there plus that would more than likely push someone out of the usair express world. Thats not something we would like to do at least not me. The best thing would have been to stay with United and get new planes for usair. Who knows and it seems we won't till monday. All I know is skywest getting 20 more planes can't be good for us

Is there any chance this order has nothing to do with Air Cheese flying? Like united deciding they want 20 more jets? I REALLY hope this is the case, you guys/gals at Wisconsin are a class act. Hopefully the wisconsin announcement of 20+ new jets is in the mail......

Short answer...no this is (was) our flying that we are talking about. The new jet announcement you seek will be us announcing a CLT base and all us west coast commuters will once again be displaced even further east by your friends at SkyWest. Thanks guys. On the up side I don't think that we can get displaced much further away from where most of us want to live. Well actually a base in Bermuda probably wouldn't be all that bad...

Not could be - will be. It is just a question of when it will happen. UnTied has always been predatory towards its feeders. We are simply the latest victim (again). Your time will come. And when it does I hope that they do not rape you as they have us (not once but twice) but I suspect they will anyway.

Displaced by your friends at SkyWest? More like displaced by United and
Air Wisc management. The pilots didn't arrange this deal or decide
where the airplanes were going. You guys seem to think the pilots
"own" whatever flying you have. Regional pilots (and all the employees
for that matter) are nothing more than mercenaries. What you fly,
where you fly, who you fly for, and for how much is all at the mercy
of your major partner(s). And by how much, I'm talking about the
rates that the contracts are signed for. It's really not much more
complicated than that.

Perhaps Air Wisconsin's employees need to ask its management why
they can't keep/maintain the UAX flying they have, much less grow.

Hey man, I can understand that you're frustrated, but 99% of the SKW people on here would rather see you guys keep your flying. Please direct your anger where it belongs: United. Good luck.

WTF,
SKYW, AirWis, mesa, taco, ect. Most of this flying was mainline just a few years ago. It may be here today or gone tomorrow, managment is winning, you guys are pissed at each other, mainline is pissed at us, we are "happy to get their flying because of "fast upgrades" and the increased money" And the CEO's are laughing so hard, that milk is spraying out their noses. Wake up, it's us against them(mgmt), not me against you. If you guys wanna be at a no load regional forever, keep it up. Thats where you will be!
Oh yeah, quick get that 1000 PIC, quick, quick.duma$
amazing

Brainsturgeon,
All regional growth comes from mainline pilots schedules. So I guess since they won't be flying UAL mainline pilots flying, it's ok to take UAir mainline flying, WAKE UP you koolaid swilling....fool.

So are we stupid for wanting to stay at a no-load regional, or are we stupid for wanting to get 1000 PIC so we can leave?

Am I "brainsturgeon"? If I am you can first learn to proofread, then yo can kiss my a$$. Go patronize someone else with all your moronic insight. Looks like it doesnt take much to "amaze" you.

Well I must say that I have read a lot of interesting material regarding this. Now I will put in my 2 cents. I appreciate the concerns of all of you. I agree that we should not go after each other, nor management. I recall several years ago when I worked in DEN, MESA had recently signed a contract with UAL, then shortly thereafter it was cancelled. I then came on with ZW at that time. What I see is the same thing all over. We all do our best as professionals, no matter what seat we sit in.
Also there are some items of interest regarding the cost issue as well. I don't know how many carriers are dealing with the ORD FSDO, I have dealt with many, and never have I seen the restrictions placed on us by the FAA then any other carrier I have had the pleasure to work for. These restrictions have cost us thousands weekly, for only department. I can only guess what other
expenses we incur do to these restrictions from other departments.
Besides I am very happy to leave the UAL system. I used to work with USAirways years ago, and if I remember right, they treated their express carrier employees with the same respect as their own, where at UAL, we do not get the same. This is not to say that the UAL employees are that way, because for the ones Ive had to deal with have been very cordial and friendly.
So in regards to whomever gets the honors of flying under UAL's colours, just beware, UAL has done this before, and they have a very good track record. So at this point, we sit back and enjoy the ride.
I wish all the best no matter where you work.
