Skywest/American Eagle???

I was wondering? Does anyone out there know when skywest or american eagle plan on hiring again? thanks

eagle - supposedly in a month or so

skywest -?? I would imagine they will hire after the UAL people have been through training. Not sure though. About a month ago, camielle told me it would be "several months"

60 plus in the pool at SKW - Alot of us have been swimming almost ten months, plus the UAL furloughees getting most of the new hire jobs being created. I think the "several months" time table by Camielle would be best characterized as the absolute soonest SKW would start interviewing again - I would count on later than that, but in this business who really knows? Give Eagle a try - you may have better luck with them...

Eagle put and ad in the paper in San Juan, they will conduct screening for new pilots in San Juan in the next couples of weeks

Talked to a ground instructor today that said he is scheduled to teach a new hire class of 30 EMB FOs on Jan 5th and another 20 in Feb. He didn't know if they would be UAL, XJet, or poolies.

The first new hire class at Eagle is scheduled for 19 Jan. I'm not sure of interviews are currently being conducted but they are supposed to begin the first of January.

Just got word from those in the know that SkyWest will run a newhire EMB and a newhire CRJ class each month throughout 2004.
