Why can't everybody leave poor old ACA alone!! They are NOT for sale! The employee groups at ACA are excited about their plans.

And if they are to be taken over unfortunately, I pray the employee groups at ACA DO NOT agree to concessions! Particularly the pilots (I think their new contract has a snap-back clause if they do not become independent). Stay strong not only for yourselves but for the whole airline pilot profession, like the brave men and women at Comair in 2001 and just recently as well by refusing to bargain.

I'm on the street, no pilot job for me currently and I would rather be out of work temporarily than to FOLD like Oregami, like others in the industry have.

GREAT...I'LL LOG ONTO ACAway AND PUT MY BID IN FOR MRY, SAC, SAN, SBA AND FAT....

YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All those junior to me...I here REI has North Face winter jackets on sale....you'll need it for all ACA domiciles....

Surf up DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!

Believe it when I see it...

Skywest's management team is too conservative and too cheap to take such a gamble. I'd bet on the fact that the Skywest bid for ACA will be too low for investors swallow.

Anyways, it will be cheaper for Skywest to sit back and watch Mesa screw up and then pick up the broken Mesa pieces like it did '98.

God forbid that Mesa or SkyWest takes control off ACA. As an ACA CRJ CA I for one will make it expensive for either company. No more single engine taxi-ing, two engines and APU burning in the ORD penalty box, and if one cockpit light looks funny we'll be waiting for MX control. There are too many ways to eliminate profit and anger 50 people at a time.

Quote heard from a very senior person at skywest in the last year.. 'skywest acquires assets, not airlines.." not sure where that leaves the personel of a company we take over... assuming such a thing were to happen and that they stick to that philosophy ...
Best of luck with your solo plans.. and if it goes to crap hoping that you dont end up part of Mesa..
Rooting for ya, Phil

Just what has Skywest ever acquired? Not being a smartarse, but I didn't know they had ever done any acquiring.

Spoken like a true professional.

Perhaps if Mesa had the hots for YOU, you would not be so cynical of that previous post. Or, maybe, you work at Mesa and ACA will never be more than a wet dream to you.

Skywest bought Sun Aire, a regional in socal flying metros in the eighties. Many of Skywest's REALLY senior pilots worked there.

This thread is about SKyWest and ACA, not Mesa and ACA hence my response. If SkyWest were to acquire ACA I hope that we would not encounter many attutides such as this. We are not Mesa and I would hope that we would be seen as saving you from Mesa. I know the LLC plan is very important and I hope it works, but if the shareholders think otherwise wouldn't SkyWest be better than Mesa?

Fly Safe.

We are not Mesa and I would hope that we would be seen as saving you from Mesa.

ACA does not need to be saved from anything.

Are people here just super defensive?!?

Strega7, here is the intelligent response you deserve. It appears you support ACA's LCC and hope it succeeds. Thank you. Yes, if it came down to LCC or Mesa (or anyone else), it should be the LCC.

BUT, if it was between Mesa or Skywest...

HECK YEAH.... Go SKYWEST!!!

I have heard one good thing after another about Skywest. I have several former classmates who work there and I've heard the love it.

Who knows what the future will bring...

Blue Side Up.
