Hello everyone I was wondering if someone who works for (or is familiar with) SKYW can tell me if there is any way to update my phone number on my online app. I have heard that they are starting to hire again and they have an old number for me. When I go to the skywestpilot website it just says that they aren't taking applications. You used to be able to do it online and now - who knows. Thanks.

.can't really do anything until the sight is back running. The only chance you would have is if you know someone from within that would want to walk in your resume, and then they will have the new number in front of them.

Word on the street is that the most recent round of interviews off the street is coming to a close... We're gonna pick up a load of the UAL furloughs for the forseable future after the interviews end this month. Those guys should fill classes for a while.

Don't expect to see the site soliciting applications anytime soon. The only in now is to have a friend forward a resume to HR.

Good luck.

Sorry, I've got no idea. I don't even think management knows exact dates until they send out the letters...

I don't think it would be a bad gamble to say that if you've already interviewed and are in the pool, you'll be living La Vida Loca in SLC studying EMB systems within the next 60 days.

Congrats!

Congrats!!!

I have been in training for the last month and the word around the training dept is that there will be an EMB class every month, but there are some obligations to UAL folks! As far as the interviews, they seem to be winding down, the last few have had only 3 or 4 interviewing (training and interviews are in the same bldg and floor, and only a few rooms apart, and I have seen this with my own eyes). Hang in there, it wont be long. It seems to be an awesome place, well worth the wait! See ya soon.

I hope not, I had my resume walked in a few weeks ago, and it seems like everytime I think a door is opening, I reached for the handle and it is shut, locked, dead bolted and a 24 foot Ryder truck part behind it with some extra security that I will not be able to get through. If the UA guys get a chance that means they will just use my resume as a door mat! How do you get started in this industry? I guess I am just venting, maybe the older guys are saying just sit and hold on your time will come! Well when? I guess I will keep CFIing and counting my blessings that I am being payed to fly. Good Luck everyone!! Anyone heard any other news about UA guys coming in and no more hiring off of the streets?

I hear that there are not a lot of takers from UAL. They get to pick in seniority order and it went very junior, but many also didn't get the notice so that may change. Maybe check the messages for Majors.

Buzzer,

Not true! I'm in class right now with UAL folks! They are happy about the positions! Cummins (sp?) says there will be plenty of takers, as an example, he stated that many were called from Mesa on 2 days notice for a sept 2 groundschool, and there were no turn-downs.
