Tivo says it's a repeat, but Stunt Junkies on Discovery Channel has a guy who is going to jump from one plane to another. It's a crazy setup with a drogue chute on the 2nd plane.

Yep, that's on Joe Jennings DVD called Good Stuff. There were 3 of them that made the jump from plane to plane. I watched that DVD for the umpteenth time yesterday, actually.

How much experience does a diver pilot need to pull that off with the trust of the divers?
You have to master RW. Lots of expirience. Good Stuff they have two different clips. One guy jumps from one ultralight to the other, then in the Porter jump, I think 3 made it in and that was over Eloy if I can recall. That is my favorite part of Goodstuff, well that and dumping all the stuff out of Vans into the desert, and seeing Rob Harris do his thing. Scary when you watch that movie to realize how many of them aren't here anymore.

Sure it's me but what do you mean:
RW?
Porter jump?
Goodstuff?
The ones that aren't here anymore?

RW- The art of flying your body. Porter Jump-Long S/E Turbo Prop, Good Stuff=Video, The ones that aren't here anymore- as in talented jumpers (RIP).

RW = Relative Work its a skydive disciplin, belly to earth, flying your body, fast when you need to, slow when you need to. I can't remember if they were using any freefly techniques on that jump, i don't think so.
Porter jump is a PC6, its the plane they used in the vid
Goodstuff is the movie that its on
and the ones that aren't here anymore refers to those who have died doing what they loved.

Relative work is more than just flying your body good, it's being able to so with other jumpers on the same dive.

Anybody with a reasonable amount of training can fall stable without potato chipping, make turns on heading, back slide, front slide, side slide, do flips and attempt to track. However, being able to do all this while maintaining relativity with other jumpers, is doing Relative Work.

I was going for the cut and dry bare bones definition.

Where are you out of and where do you jump? My f'n dropzone closed the doors 6 months ago and there is talks of another one taking its place. I haven't jumped since.

I haven't jumped in a year, my gear needs replacing and all the fun people have since retired. Other hobbies have kind of taken precedence, so I don't really know if I'll be jumping much in the future. I might make a few on rental gear this summer just to stay current, but I have a feeling that my days are pretty much numbered in skydiving.
