Glad to hear you got the interview, but isn't it a good idea to do the research and THEN apply to the company?

Seems to me you have the cart before the horse here.

If you have useful info for the man, give it to him. If not.......then p%ss off!

I have some useful information for him, and for you too.

Do your homework before you go as far as taking up an interview appointment that could go to someone who knows the company, the equipment, the domiciles, and a dozen other particulars.

Or does the idea of this kind of responsibility offend thee?

Seems like he did the right thing to me.

Glad to hear that you got an interview, thats better than most.

Don't misunderstand.

I like the idea that a pilot got an interview. That's great. Really.

I just think that the pilot should already know enough about the company to be desiring to work there because of the information he has gathered. Once knowing he likes the company, the equipment, the reputation, yada yada,..... THEN he should apply for a job.

Suppose he goes to the interview and finds something he doesn't like, or a problem for his family that he hadn't expected? Now, another pilot has possibly been delayed in being interviewed or hired who had no problem, and had his ducks in a row beforehand.

That's all.

I hope it works out for him.

WHAT?

folks, this really isn't going where I wanted it to.

I did do my "homework" as far as I can with what I have. This web site has helped me out many times before and will continue to in the future. Thanks for all the good wishes. Maybe just not today.

take care all!

Perhaps it simply wasn't apparent from your post that you had a good handle on the company.

If you did, what were we supposed to add?

What specifically are you loking for? Financial condition of the company, corporate culture, plans for expansion?

timebuilder

I was thinking more of quality of life, turnover rate, attitude of the management, stuff I won't even know after the interview. Just any help from someone who has worked, is working, or knows someone who is working there.

No harm, no foul.
