I'll throw my .02. I've worked at two different regionals. The biggest plus for me working for a frac is NO commuting. I mean, you commute, but it's worry free. Airline is late, no worries. Airline is oversold, no worries. Wx is bad and airline has a gate hold, no worries.

I also like the fact that once I'm on duty, I'm taken care of. I get food, I get a hotel every night, etc.... None of this, "Well, your overnight canx and since you are at your base, you are on your own until XX:XX show tomorrow."

I also like the variety of flying. Last week I went from a small private airfield in southern Florida, to shooting an approach into LGA.

I think any job is what you make it. Personally, I enjoy flying fractional. The pay leaves a lot to be desired, but, my quality of life has improved 10-fold.
