potential school soon on the KA 90 thru 100 series.

trying to find a list somewhere showing how much the initial class would cost <insurance wants it regardless..im cool with that> on this particular plane.

and what places are cheaper/better? do you truely get what you pay for at each of these 3 places? or are they all mostly the same quality/price? any help would be great.

thanks a bunch..

bling-bling

wow thanks...

i did some checking around and was gonna take this post down cause i found on the answers...but..i thought id post the results..

for the 90-100 series course, initials...

Simuflite-$6200
Simcom-$6200
Flightsafety-$11,000 (and fo rthe 100 series its 14,700)

so...is flight safety just the name im buying or am i really getting twice as much quality and twice as much knowlege?
i would think not....but i havent been yet so i dunno.

I have been to simcom, flightsafety, and Flight Review for king air's from the 90- 300 series.

My choice would be simcom over flightsafety any day. FLight review is no longer active because he sold all his stuff to simcom. Tom was an awsome instructor, was an engineer at Beech and knew every model inside and out.

The reason I like simcom so much is that the instructors there have a ton of knowledge on the aircraft you are on. They don't just teach powerpoint but must have at least 1000 hrs in the plane. A lot of them have 10 times that amount. Plus they can give you tips and things to look for that they have found on the road.

Simcom recently has set up a new program for the LoneStar 90 series. Basically a 90 with 750 shp downrated to the 550. We have one on a b90 and it's awsome.

Flightsafety teaches the powertool's. Their instructors have no time in the plane and just read from the book. There is no hands on or running from sim to sim to show you how other aircraft manufactures took the same idea and made it different.

Yeah I'm all over simcom but I've gone there for 5 years and have ALLWAYS learned something from each instructor. Plus they don't beat on you just for fun. They realize that you are a customer and have a choice. Flightsafety has a different mentalitly on that one.

Their new facilities at simcom are awsome. Sure they don't have motion sim's for the sims but man the visuals really fool you. Especially when you see the instructor running down the side of the runway on takeoff. That one allways makes me laugh.

Choose simcom. Youl'll enjoy it. Plus the insurance doesn't care as long a you go to one.

whats your thoughts on Simuflite compared to simcom? (both cost about the same. i'm hip to either one)

I have heard great things about CAE SimuFlite's program. A few folks I know who went both there and Simcom prefer SimuFlite to Simcom. Better facility, devices are about the same. Courseware is much better. They are at www.caesimuflite.com

Let us know what you decide!

I can't/won't compare the quality of the programs because I only have experience with Simuflite and I happy with them.

What I can tell you is the prices they are quoting are list. It is my understanding the prices can be very flexible. Negotiate like you are dealing with a used car salesman. They have something called preferred pricing which is for customers who sign long term contracts, you should be able to get that price easily and then threaten them with what the competition is offering a better deal on pricing, differences training, etc. Lie to them. They aren't going to give you a better price out of the goodness of their heart and when the good times come back around you won't get such a good deal.
