Anybody know if the companies conducting interviews at DCA will have any sims available in the area? In other words, if I go to DCA and talk to the nice people, will I still have to go to company HQ at a later date to do the sim ride? I'm looking specifially at Kalitta, which probably means some sort of classic sim, although they do have some glass in their 74s.

I assume you’ve never been to an AirInc seminar? It’s not really an interview but rather a ~5 minute face to face introduction where you’re “selling yourself” hoping to get an interview in the future.
Every now and then some airlines will conduct interviews on the spot but usually it’s foreign airlines because it saves them lots of time to do the basic screening there (actually they usually invite you to one of the hotel rooms for a face to face interview - Cathay, Wasinc/JAL, Air China, etc.).

Sometimes also a few regionals will do an on-the-spot interview; mainly because they are hurting for pilots because of … (you fill in the blanks). If a sim eval is part of an airline’s overall evaluation you will be called to one at a later time. Good luck to you!

Btw, if you were asking about AirInc sim preps - I do not recommend them at all. Instead look into preps where you get to fly an actual sim and not a training device.
