Silver Airways Corp., a new regional carrier launched with assets from the former Gulfstream International Airlines, took delivery of its first Saab 340Bplus aircraft today.Unveiled as the centerpiece of a special launch event held today at the carrier’s Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport headquarters, the modern, 34-seat aircraft is the first to feature the new Silver Airways livery.
A total of six Saab 340 aircraft will be integrated into the Silver Airways fleet between December and July. Each aircraft will be subject to a period of inspection and certification under U.S. and Bahamian aviation regulations to ensure full compliance with all safety and operational requirements prior to initiating scheduled passenger service. In-service dates for the new aircraft type will be announced upon receipt of regulatory approvals. Once cleared, the aircraft will be deployed along the carrier’s Florida-Bahamas routes.

How much do the FOs have to pay to fly the SAAB?

It's a new dawn of professionalism over there. They have strict minimum requirements of a commercial pilots license and detectable pulse. And sign a 2 year contract.

You can also go straight to the left seat if you meet ATP mins! (ATP itself is optional!). You get paid $32/hour and get to wear a hat.
