Side Jobs/Business

Besides delivering pizzas and real-estate flipping, which everyone and there mom does, what kind of jobs/businesses do some of the pilots you've met have on the side? Any own their own business? Just curious.

I'm a freelance director and technical director for broadcast sporting events... (used to be my full-time career in television - behind the scenes) You can break in depending on where you live if you know the right people as a utility op. (unless you have previous experience) It's not the most fun work (when you start out anyway) but it gets you to a LOT of sporting events and all access passes to whatever events you're working.

i.e. Pistons, Cavaliers, Red Wings, Blue Jackets, etc...

Most of it is afternoon and evening work so when I'm not flying with students, I make my real money at a sports gig.

Pretty much a part time gig for most of us but gives us more of a reason to show up to more airshows each year. Besides we got pretty annoyed at all the lame "remove before flight" stuff you see everywhere now.

haha... so i should head out to the airport and find the "nastiest" lookin' 402 and make a zillion stickers of that???? I'll get right on that...

For those of you waiting for a certain airline / operator, I'm workin' my way, in essence, from biggest to smallest.... With some exceptions.... But now that I'm on straight reserve and little free time on my days off, it's going to be harder for me to jumpseat around and get some more pics... FYI....
