Yea my ex wife, your best luck is at the riverfront casino downtown

No kidding, I left an ex-wife there too! :)

I spent 13 years at Barksdale/Shreveport/Bossier City. Gen Av is kind of slow there. The Aero Club is also so slow you can hear the crickets chirping.

If you live there, try the Civil Air Patrol Senior Squadron. They can always use a CFI, and their rate on airplane rental is reasonable.

If you don't live there, don't move because you think it would be a bustling aviation hub.

Check out "Excecutive Travel Air" at SHV. If you want to live there, this is the place to be. A mix of 91 and 135. 135 yes, but not the really crappy kind. PM me and I'll give you some contact info if you want.

Funny I was stationed at BAD too. My last active duty station that drove me OUT of active duty. Good thing I stayed in the Reserves. Barksdale AFB has a great little Aero Club (got my Private there in the mid 90s) and would be a good CFI job. DTN has a few CFI slots and I believe operate jumpers as well. I was just a SHV a couple of days ago and saw a TP, and the drivers hopped out with Casino logos on their shirts. Best of luck.

J
