What regional do you guys think has the shortest upgrade time at the moment?

My guess for jet operators it would be either CHQ or Pinnacle. Both runnings at 2 yrs or less I think. -Bean

2 Year upgrade at Pinnacle?? I THINK NOT! Mabye the guys getting the left seat now have 2 years since things are booming but any gulfstream puke piece of Shist recently hired, can look forward to 5 years in the right seat since Pinnacle growth is about to come to a grinding halt in less than a year. Hang on gulfstream pukes for a long ride in the right seat.

During the OBAP convention last week the Rep from PSA said that there upgrade time is running about 18 months and sometimes as early as 8 months. He also said that 1500tt 250 multi ATP college degree and prior 121/135 experience would get you a class date. Take it for what it is worth but that's what he said.

NO, Thank God I don't work for Pinnacle!!!!! I could think of NOTHING worse than babysitting some 300 hour Gulfstream Whore. They are nothing more than a bunch of Whores who prostituted themselves to get a piece of crap job with a piece of crap airline. Gulfstream Whores don't rank much above Scabs. Can't wait until the day comes when these pukes rott away in the right seat and it is coming soon!

I dissagree with PFT. I think it is not the best thing for this industry, but asswholles are a hellof alot worse for it than anything else.

I believe PSA will have the quickest upgrade. oh yea Lefreak, they hire PFTers as well.

most people that finish at gulfstream have around 500 hours. why dont you tell us which airline you work so we all know where to go to get a great job. are you the guy that is p!ssed that someone gets hired and they dont meet the mins for the company, but they knew someone to help them?

There is a difference IF the person who knew someone DID NOT have to pay for his own training! If they were an ex-CFI/Freight Dog than that is a different scenario.

Your attitude really sucks and does not reflect the experience you claim to have. You were probably fired from GIA and have a chip on your shoulder. Maybe a GIA 300hr pilot slept with your wife or daughter, who knows?

Steer clear of any NWA carriers. Pinnacle's growth will be stopping soon with their last aircraft deliveries coming up. Mesaba currently has more than 75 % of their FO's in the 4 and 5 year plus range with over 6000 hours that don't have the seniority to upgrade.

I agree with sf3boy, stay away from the Redtails. I know at Pinnacle, the shiitt will soon hit the preverbial fan.

From other readings, it would appear that the bottom 20 percent of the Mesaba seniority list has been a revolving door or a merry go round with the furloughs.

Only 7 + years at ASA now, although I know, the most recent upgrades were in the 4 year range. That wont keep up, though. I hear about the same for Comair. I've said it before though, DONT pick a company for the quick upgrade!! Where are you going with that PIC???? NOWHERE!!! Pick a company for everything but that, like; bases/commutability, contract-pay-QOL.
