1500ft? whats the problem?

Most GA airparks in europe are between 1500ft and 2000ft and only made out of grass.

I know a bunch that are about 1100' and haze grey and underway. Although the landing area is less than half that length.

1500 ft runway? That's not so short... back in my younger, dumber days as a CFI I landed a Super Cub a few times on a 400 ft paved RC model airplane strip with a barbed wire fence on one end. It was easy in a Super Cub, quite an amazing airplane.
