Fact or fiction: I have heard that if you are a 121 pilot that you can ship things on Fedex for a flat rate of $5. Is that true, and if so does it work on UPS as well and how would one go about doing that? Thanks

pretty much fiction if your airline has an agreement then you can ship things at a discounted rate. sometimes up to 75% off but i have never heard of a flate rate. they mostly do this as a way of getting thiers guys the ability to jumpseat on other cariers.

In my experience its not anything. You can a certain box that I believe it is 14"x8"x4" for about $7 on 2nd day delivery. Cant remember what the weight it can be. Go by the nearest Fedex office, not a Kinko's or something like that but the real FedEx shipping office and have you airline ID n hand and ask.

I can't speak for all kinkos, but I've been to two now that could do the interline discount.
