SkyWest is opening LAX as a reserve only base (2 crews per A/C type) next month and there is discussion of doing the same with SFO in the near future.

We "hered" about it on an official posting via company computer system. Bids for LAX close on the 14th.

Ah, I remember seeing the 14th somewhere on the site, but didn't see the number of crews, but I don't pay much attention to most of the stuff they send us.

I wouldn't get too excited about an SFO or LAX base as it will be like DFW and a reserve style base from the sounds of it. Although if you live in the area and are commuting to reserve than it would work out.
