How easy or difficult is it to transfer from one service (i.e. Naval Aviation) to another service (i.e. Airforce) after your service obligation is complete? Do you have to drop rank? Are you eligible for a bonus? Do you have an option of aircraft to fly?
Thanks

Rocco,
Looking to avoid that disassociated sea tour eh? I feel your pain... The Air Force does have a program that in the past took several Navy guys, but like everything it's really a function of timing. They aren't losing guys right and left to the airlines right now so the opportunity is probably not as great. Here is a link to the program. Make the calls and good luck!

As far as general information on the Inter-Service Transfers, you would retain your present rank with the Air Force and if you are on a promotion list they will honor that as well. The Coast Guard always used to bump you down a paygrade, but not sure if that is still how they do business. They also used to recruit from the other branches. You will normally be elegible for an IST only when you have reached your MSR.
