I fly for a 135 op who has a contract with Sentient who is gurantees 600 hours a year in two of our airplanes. My question is this, have any of you guys heard of Sentient losing vendors hand over fist and now they have a hard time fulfilling their obligations. I've also been reading that the DOT will now enforce a rule that requires brokers such as Sentient to have a so called "economic license" since they do not represent either the person buying block time nor the 135 operators. I'd be happy if Sentient went away cuz their just marketers who make it harder for 135 operatosr to maintain decent margins. On the flip side, they are providing us hours and cash flow which keeps us in the air, although not very profitably from what i understand. I'd like to hear from those who have flown Sentient in the past and what you think will happen. Personally, they drive me crazy with all their constant phone calls asking if we'd looked at the catering yet, etc, etc.
