I work for a company in there flight department and I am going to start flying for them soon. I wanted to know what everyone thinks about how the seniority should work. Should I have the seniority from my original hire date or should it be from the ceckride date. Management says checkride date but the pilots say my original hire date is what I should get and they are the ones it would affect and they don't seem to care.

Most places would allow your original hire date to control vacation bidding and accrual, and other benefits, and assign you a new seniority number for purposes of line bidding, equipment bidding, etc.
