Just wondering when a good time to send out resumes is. I did the online resume with XJ awhile back and never heard anything. I was right at their minimums so that's probably why. My times are still pretty low, around 730TT/230ME. I'd like to let companines know that I'm interested but don't want them to think I'm too stupid to read what their minimums are. I'm asking because I keep reading of people getting hired with less time than me, some a lot less if you can believe that. Thanks for any respnses.

Keep bugging them!!
Do you mean XJT? If not go ahead and apply, it will take a while to get the call but you will.

Generally, it's not a good idea to send a resume to a company when you are below their stated minimums. I've heard several HR people from different airlines talk about how frustrating it is to have to sort through 500 resumes only to find 50 that meet the mins. Probably not a good idea to upset the HR people. :)

However, there are some airlines out there that say "preferred mins" or "recommended mins." In that case it would be ok to send even if you are below the "recommended" minimums.

As for XJ, if you mean Mesaba I think you are below their mins. If you mean XJT (CoEx), then just wait. They'll call eventually. They seem to love hiring low time guys.
