Fellow pilots:

Any of you fly for seasonal jobs? It drives me crazy, I fly for a GIS company and 5 month/yr we fly 300-400hrs and the rest just packed in a space doing stupid jobs like packing, cutting grass, washing Airplanes, listenning to the boss yelling at us why we have nothing to do. It is so demeaning at times that I wish they would lay me off during the slow season.

Does anyone here fly for mapping GIS companies? what is your alternative solution to boredom and lack of flying? any GIS companies out there that make use of their pilots all year round?

I love this field of aviation and dont want monitor computers pushing big jets in the sky for me, at the mean time this line of work is very hard on the soul during slow season:(

Getting older and no light at the end of tunnel. Any comments?
