hello friends...i was wandering if anyone knows a flight school that offers seaplanes ratings(add-on) near new york city..its time for my biannual and some people told me its worth to get the rating instead of doing the biannual...also do u guys know how long it takes and about how much they charge? thanks

Well, a BFR will only (if you are proficient) take an hour or two of flight and some ground.

So maybe that runs you 200-300...while a Seaplane rating would likely run you over 1500...I can't think of anyone near NYC off the top of my head.

I know nothing about this, but a search revealed:

Upstate makes the most sense given all the lakes....Northern NJ would actually be conducive to seaplanes...plenty of lakes...but no operators as far as I know.
