Seaplanes and Island hopping

Just curious if any of you have had any experience or know anyone who flys with some island hopping regionals? I'm curious to see what the actual pilots think about them. Specifically airlines like Seaborne Airlines, Tropic Air, Maya Island Air, and Maldivian Air Taxi. Anyone know what it's like?

How old are you?

I have a buddy who use to fly for Tropic Air (he's originally from Belise.) He said that he had a great time but, now that he's over 30, he can't imagine working under those conditions again.
