I was thinking about getting a seaplane add-on rating to my commercial and wanted a relaxing, yet educational & fun program. I don't plan on renting after the rating, but have always thought it'd be fun to try. I have heard Jack Browns down in Lakeland is good. I have also heard of some Alaskan outfits that do good work too. Keep in mind I realize that a 5 hour program is just the training to pass the license requirements and the new ticket is a license to learn. I won't be going out by myself or looking for a job with the SES. I am just looking to expand my aviation experiences. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

I would say Alaska is the best and most original place to receive your Sea Plane Rating!
